HOW

You get authorization from de insurance company for the testing your doctor requested.

 

You referred your patient to us with EMG/NCV prescription, patient demographic information, PR2 and all patient medical records.

 

 

We schedule the patient for the test.

We sent the report to you in 24 to 48 hours.

We deal with the insurance company.

EMG/NCS INDICATIONS

EMG and nerve conduction studies are an extension of the clinical neuromuscular examination.

Common Symptoms and Diagnosis

Generalized weakness

  • Neuropathies


  • Myopathies (including endocrine)


  • Motor system disease (e.g., amyotrophic lateral sclerosis)

  • Neuromuscular junction disorder (e.g., myasthenia gravis)

Neck pain

  • Cervical radiculopathy


  • Brachial plexopathy


  • Focal neuropathy (e.g., spinal accessory nerve)

Back pain

  • Lumbosacral radiculopathy


  • Lumbosacral plexopathy.

SHOULDER AND ARM PAIN, NUMBNESS,
ALTERED SENSATION (E.G., PINS AND NEEDLES), WEAKNESS, CRAMPS, FASCICULATIONS,
MUSCLE ATROPHY OR HYPERTROPHY (FOCAL OR DIFFUSE)

  • Cervical radiculopathy

  • Brachial plexopathy

  • Polyneuropathy

  • Focal neuropathy (e.g., carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar nerve injury at the elbow, suprascapular nerve injury at the shoulder)

  • Motor system disease (e.g., amyotrophic lateral sclerosis)

HIP AND LEG PAIN, NUMBNESS, ALTERED SENSATION (I.E., PINS AND NEEDLES), WEAKNESS, CRAMPS, FASCICULATIONS, MUSCLE ATROPHY OR HYPERTROPHY

  • Lumbosacral radiculopathy


  • Lumbosacral plexopathy


  • Polyneuropathy


  • Focal neuropathy (e.g., tarsal tunnel syndrome, femoral
[focal or diffuse] mononeuropathy)

EEG INDICATIONS

An EEG is used to detect problems in the electrical activity of the brain that may be associated with certain brain disorders. The measurements given by an EEG are used to confirm or rule out various conditions, including:
